For those that think it's fake and staged let me make my argument that it isn't. He goes to places in Pasadena/Glendale/Hollywood area. Plus they are shopping at very high end super markets. Go into one of these supermarkets and it's filled with hot rich housewives for the picking.
I'm sure they don't show the people that say no, whats the point? On the house part, I'm sure they give them time to clean and whatever. Many times he tells you that it's like 10 or 11 in the morning and they are cooking dinner for 5 or 6 at night. So yea they cut out a lot of cleaning prep who knows what else out, but I'm convinced that these interactions with these women are real.

Plus when they go shopping they aren't at a cheap market where they won't have good ingredients. They know they want to pick someone up from here so they probably have it planned to go to a cooking store to pick up his dishes or whatever that is close to the super market. I live in that area and can tell they are shopping at places that are close like Colorado blvd.
The family enjoys Curtis' meal of braised bison with red wine sauce and veggies, stuffed artichokes, baked swiss chard gratin and chocolate dipped dried fruit. Curtis serves steamed orange roughy with noodles and stir-fry to a family with a plethora of dietary restrictions. For dessert, he's baked pears with maple syrup, dried fruit, and nuts. Curtis startles Monica who turns out to be double trouble for our chivalrous chef.

So I spent many days cooking for siblings which later sparked my interest into culinary school. I’ve had the luxury of working in the culinary field for over 14 years. Responding to a call for help, Curtis cruises over to the California Highway Patrol to surprise an unsuspecting patrolman. Officer Omar has sent Curtis a tape requesting his culinary expertise to cook a going away meal for the division's cherished leader and mentor, Captain Sutherland. Omar is taken completely by surprise when Curtis casually walks in on a CHP training session and offers to help say farewell to the captain in style. The officers send Curtis to a secluded lot nearby to get a head start on the big surprise meal. Desi and Jason enjoy the crab and vegetable spring rolls while Curtis breaks in Desi's new wok, cooking the Pad Thai noodles with hot and spicy sizzling-shrimp.
The meal starts with French onion soup, followed by a main course of roasted pork loin with a Dijon-parsley crust, served with a fricassee of chanterelles, shallots, garlic and black truffles. For dessert, fresh figs, bleu cheese with a port reduction. Curtis offers Lauren the chance to take him home so he can prepare an amazing meal for her and her husband, John. Lauren, who has been training for a marathon while John rides alongside of her, rooting her on, looks at this as an opportunity to express her gratitude. Curtis plans a gourmet feast, beginning with Sevruga caviar-topped oysters and an entrée of caramelized wing of skate with white asparagus, capers, baby octopus and lemon. For dessert, a cheesecake with strawberries and aged balsamic vinegar.
Curtis spots a cute Russian woman named Elena having trouble selecting the right kind of olive oil. Curtis offers to help Elena out, but only if she agrees to take him back home so he can cook a meal for her family. Elena confesses she is a bit shocked by Curtis and the crew, but accepts the offer as long as Curtis agrees to clean her dirty dishes.
